In May, 2024, the National Council of Jewish Women, Louisville section, honored KRCRC's vice chair, Carol Savkovich, and Dr. Ernie Marshall, for many years the co-owner of EMW Women’s Surgical Center (now closed by Kentucky’s abortion ban). with their "Voice for Choice Award." The award, begun in 2023, is presented annually to “an outstanding person, group, or organization who has...made a significant contribution in the efforts of reproductive rights and healthcare justice in the commonwealth ofbKentucky, guided by the Jewish values of tikkun olam, repairing the world, and kavod ha’briyot, respect for human dignity.” For complete story, see KRCRC's Spring 2024 "Voice for Choice" p.1. |
