Kentucky Health Justice Network (KHJN) provides a helpline (1-855-576-4576) to help you navigate the abortion landscape and traveling to an out-of-state clinic. Assistance may include helping to make an appointment as well as funding, childcare, transportation, and lodging.
Medication Abortion
- The abortion pill, also known as medication abortion or Plan C, has been available for use in the United States since 2000.
- Medication abortion typically consists of two pills, mifepristone and misoprostol, which work together to end a pregnancy.
- These abortions are more than 95% effective and have less than a 1% risk of hospitalization.
