What are your current options?

Traveling for Abortion
There are abortion clinics in several surrounding states that offer abortion services at different prices and up to different gestational ages. For reliable information, to find a clinic and make an appointment, go to ineedana.com.

The Kentucky group Kentucky Health Justice Network (KHJN) provides a  helpline, 1-855-576-4576, to help you navigate the abortion landscape and traveling to an out-of-state clinic. This assistance includes appointment, funding, gas assistance, childcare, transportation, and lodging assistance.

Medication Abortion

Abortion Pill Facts
  • The abortion pill, also known as medication abortion or Plan C, has been available for use in the United States since 2000.  
  • Medication abortion typically consists of two pills, mifepristone and misoprostol, which work together to end a pregnancy. 
  • These abortions are more than 95% effective and have less than a 1% risk of hospitalization.

Compassionate Care –
free & non-judgmental


​Would you like to speak with someone who is non-judgmental, and can talk with you about all ​your options? There are several good (and free) choices. They are:

KRCRC, the Kentucky Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, (866) 606-0988, can provide free faith-based compassionate (all-options) care, for those of any faith. Call our message line and leave your first name and a number where we can reach you. Someone ​will call you back within 24 hours and arrange for over-the-phone care with a non-judgmental clergy person. You may also email us at [email protected].

Faith Aloud, (888) 717-5010, is another ​non-judgmental source of faith-based support.

All-Options, (888) 493-0092, will provide non-religious, non-judgmental all-options support.

Funding and other Practical Support

​Once you've decided that an abortion is right for you, there can still be many impediments to getting one. While KRCRC does not do abortion funding or direct access support, we can point you in the right direction.

There are several useful organizations to know about, that can give financial and/or practical help ​for those seeking an abortion. They are:

NAF - The National Abortion Federation - (800) 772-9100
NAF provides unbiased information about abortion, as well as other resources, including financial assistance. Their hotline hours are:
  • Weekdays: 7:00 am - 11:00 pm ET
  • Saturdays & Sundays: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm ET
It is important to know that their hotline number is often busy. Keep trying! ​They are the single best source for funding assistance. Learn more ​at​ their website.

KHJN - Kentucky Health Justice Network -

KHJN volunteers staff a HELPline to  assist people seeking abortions with financial assistance, transportation, interpretation, and more. Learn more at their website. 

A Fund, Inc.
A Fund, Inc. administers its assistance directly through clinics around the country. To apply for this assistance, get in touch with KHJN through their HELPline or their web site KHJN.org and select “Abortion Support Fund.”
